Healthy Start in Child Care is a program for childcare centers (Type I & II), certified homes, and after school programs. The overall goal of Healthy Start in Child Care is to promote and protect the health and safety of children in out-of-home care settings, and to enhance the quality of childcare in Kentucky. This is accomplished by providing Child Care Health Consultants throughout Kentucky to train and educate childcare providers, children, and parents in the areas of health, safety, and nutrition. This initiative is at no cost to you or your centers.
