Public Health has a unique opportunity to educate the public on the benefits of prevention and early detection of cancer. Through counseling regarding risks and periodic screenings, the Franklin County Health Department strives to lower cancer rates in Franklin County.
Cancer services include:
- Counseling and education regarding prevention
- Screenings such as pap smears, breast examinations, prostate checks and fecal occult blood testing
- Referral for any abnormal findings
- Follow-up and tracking of all abnormal findings
